The Department of Academic Affairs ensures the continuous improvement of academic standards, aligning educational offerings with local and international benchmarks, and fostering a high-quality learning environment for students.

 

Duties of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs:

  1. Supervising Academic Departments and Faculty Members
    • Monitoring the performance and activities of academic departments.
    • Ensuring faculty members adhere to teaching standards and policies.
  2. Curriculum Development
    • Collaborating with the college administration and academic departments to enhance curricula.
    • Ensuring the alignment of educational programs with modern teaching methodologies.
  3. Overseeing College Requirements
    • Ensuring that general education courses and core academic requirements meet institutional and accreditation standards.
  4. Supervising Key Academic Units
    • Admissions & Registration Department
    • Student Affairs Department
    • Library
    • Quality Assurance Unit
  5. Introducing New Academic Programs
    • Working with academic departments to develop new programs that align with market demands.
    • Ensuring these programs address the needs of the Palestinian community.
  6. Managing Course Schedules and Examinations
    • Overseeing the preparation of class schedules.
    • Supervising midterm, final, and comprehensive applied exams.
  7. Enhancing Academic & Extracurricular Activities
    • Supporting academic initiatives within departments.
    • Encouraging extracurricular engagement to foster student development.
  8. Faculty Recruitment and Academic Staffing
    • Identifying faculty hiring needs.
    • Conducting interviews and selection processes to recruit qualified educators.
