The AI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent systems that rely on real-time institutional data, including advanced chatbots, virtual assistants, and automated decision-support tools. The role focuses on building conversational AI solutions powered by large language models (LLMs), dynamic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and integrations with internal academic, administrative, and student-facing systems. The position requires strong technical expertise in natural language processing, real-time data processing, and backend integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop AI-powered chatbots and conversational assistants that access real-time data from institutional systems.
  •  Design and implement LLM-based solutions using embeddings, vector databases, and real-time RAG architectures.
  • Build and maintain data connectors, event-driven pipelines, and APIs to ensure that AI outputs remain accurate and updated.
  • Train, validate, fine-tune, and optimize NLP and machine-learning models for domain-specific use cases.
  • Integrate AI systems with internal platforms such as SIS, ERP, databases, and other organizational services.
  •  Deploy production-ready AI applications ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  •  Collaborate with academic departments, administrative units, and student services to understand needs and deliver appropriate AI-driven solutions.
  • Document system architectures, AI pipelines, data flows, model configurations, and operational processes according to institutional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and .NET.
  • Solid experience with NLP, LLMs, embeddings, and RAG architectures.
  • Understanding of real-time data processing, event-driven systems, and API-driven integrations.
  • Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, Chroma).
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Ability to deploy AI applications using cloud platforms, containers, or on-premise environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
